| | bored | ] | The blue moon has reached its peak in the sky. Time to post again.
Finally got my sister moved into her new place, graduated my sister, moved into her place again, gotten over my cold, moved my sister into her place again, and somewhat caught up on work. That's what's been happening for the last week or three. @_@;
I'm really happy that my sister is a doctor now, but the whole graduation has left us beat.
Now that's done with, on to greater things. I got my grubby hands on the Valkyrie Profile 2 since finding VP1 requires effort... Something I don't have. So far, I like it for the most part. Tri Ace once again did what they didn't do in SO3... Wait, that would be the first time since SO3, right? Never the less, I kind of like the game so far even though it is a little complicated. But I've beat only the first dungeon and I assume there are plenty more where that came from. The main character doesn't come off as a complete moron (see loathing hatred for Star Ocean 3) so this might go well.
- Likable and cute main character. - Not too annoying side characters. - Pretty graphics for a last gen game. - Combat requires some skill and beefy characters.
This might go well.
On another note, I have gotten my hands on 4.0 AD&D and I have mixed feelings about it. Maybe its newbie jitters, but we'll have to see. Its nice and all you get constant use of powers, but I felt like the classes have lost their purpose. Mages were supposed to have massive spell books and whatever craft and metamagics they want. Fighters could be any crazy build you could imagine. Rouges could do anything but magic. Clerics could do anything but sneaking. But somehow that didn't translate. They dumbed it down so that switching between classes or races isn't rough, but they lost their own flavor. I'm not sure if I'm making sense or not, my friend didn't seem to understand so whoever reads this might not either.
They did do one thing I kind of like. There are like 10 or so skills. I hated trying to assign skill points into my 25 some class skills every level. It was quite annoying. |

*snickers* Congrads Cora, you are the villain. Unfortunately I don't have enough people on LJ to make this really effective. |

I Am A: Lawful Neutral Human Fighter/Wizard (1st/1st Level)
Ability Scores:
Strength-13
Dexterity-13
Constitution-15
Intelligence-16
Wisdom-12
Charisma-12
Alignment: Lawful Neutral A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs him. Order and organization are paramount to him. He may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or he may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government. Lawful neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you are reliable and honorable without being a zealot. However, lawful neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it seeks to eliminate all freedom, choice, and diversity in society.
Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Primary Class: Fighters can be many things, from soldiers to criminal enforcers. Some see adventure as a way to get rich, while others use their skills to protect the innocent. Fighters have the best all-around fighting capabilities of the PC classes, and they are trained to use all standard weapons and armor. A fighter's rigorous martial training grants him many bonus feats as he progresses, and high-level fighters have access to special melee maneuvers and exotic weapons not available to any other character.
Secondary Class: Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small, magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence, wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.

| | satisfied | ] | That's what the Slayers d20 is. It even says so on page 4 of the Designer's Note. That's exactly what it is. From what little I've read, its a terrifying combination of anime and d20 and just raw uber. Any Joe can cast spells providing they have an intelligence bonus, every class gives you AC bonus, Lore Master is a 1 to 20 class wtf?, Noble is now a class to be afraid of, Rogues... haven't changed at all, take all the hit die for D&D and go up a die type, and so forth.
Will I play it? If I can find someone to drag into my insanity. |

That's right! A new Slayers season is coming out! Two "seasons," each 13 episodes which is pretty much the norm. They usually have one half devoted to one arc, then the next "arc" is devoted to a continuation of that. This should be interesting. Might be a bust though since its anime based, but we shall see. |

There is nothing interesting about Taco Bell. Nothing what so ever. Only when bad things happen does it actually get interesting... Slightly. Sad, but true.
So I come in to work one day and see the deep frier pulled out. I'm slightly confused. For one reason or another, I end up working on frying stuff or preping food rather than online, putting stuff together and handing it out to the customer. In essence, the frier is my domain, my friend, and my prison cell.
Anyways, I ask one of my co-workers what's up.
Emily: Oh its broken. Me: Bessy! NOOOOOO! Emily: ^^;
If something isn't broken around the resturant, its plotting to break itself. Equipment usually doesn't break during slow times, it has to die when we are in the middle of a lunch or dinner rush. Its too much to ask for it to break when its most conveinent for us.
Another trend while working is that we tend to run out of food. Running out of prepaired food happens often. Running out of all of one type of food is farily uncommon, but its been known to happen. Anyways, the former happened tonight.
Taking the last beef! Taking the last chicken! Taking the last steak! Need more torts in the cabnent! Taking the last beef... AGIAN! Taking the last taco tray! Tacking the last beef... For the third time!
Its too much to ask for things to ever run smoothly. But as my parents say... "If it doesn't hurt you real bad, it makes for a great story later." |

*cough cough* S-chan. *cough*
I've been vastly ill the last week. I don't remember ever being ill for a week or displaying the wide range of symptoms that I did. But I'm alive, thank goodness. Several hours of sleep, lots of water, two doctor trips, and a ticket to the ER... I'm starting to feel better.
*waves to all... all being S-chan and Cora* ^_^ I will live! |

Great news, I just did well on my Calculus 2 test! 89% which is like... 12% above the class average! :3 I guess my problem over the first half of the quarter was that I wasn't practicing enough. I was barely devoting enough time to understand and practice the problems. Now I'm plugging through it. Yay!
I friended some random girl... And all she does in her journal is post hoards of Love Hina pictures. ~_~ Oie vey, why do I have the feeling that was a mistake.
All my friends are having a tough time it seems. Plus I might not be able to see any of them anymore online. Crysta and Ivan, two of my closer online friends might not be showing up online in the near future. Min might follow suit judging by her journal entry. My sister is entering Med school finals... Which dwarfs most any other sort of test in existence. Med School > All The list of my other friends and their problems goes on and on. *sigh* |

My thanksgiving break was pretty good... Except for the fact that I was a slacker. *le sigh*
Cora and I watched a lot of Bleach... Not the thing you clean your bathroom floors with. The anime Bleach. Very awesome anime. :3 Chad is my favorit and I'm happy 'the girl' of the anime doesn't suck. Anyway, we had lots of fun and watched a crud load of anime. Weeeee!
I'm already sick of eating turkey. Almost everyday of the break I ate that viel substance. @_@ I'll be happy when its gone.
Nothing else to report besides finals are coming up. If I'm grumpy, that's probably why. |

Not much going on in my neighborhood. Doing a little role-playing (my characters suck!) and such. I haven't been too hard working with school work at home... It sucks. I have a very hard time concentrating on my homework there. Blah. That's why I do most of my calc homework at the study center at the college. Just wish I could force myself to study more Spanish.
Other things: None really. I have two school days then I have a five day weekend. Yay.
I need to make an icon for this week's HTK contest... Code is something I'm fairly good at so... Hopefully my cunning concept will enthrall my voters... If it doesn't, I'll just kill them for not voting for me. :O XD I'm just kiddin'. |

And guess what I got? 90% on the test and 100% on the quiz. :O And I thought I was going to do bad. *kicks self in ass* >,< This has made my day. XP Now I just need to pass the test I had less confidence about... Spanish. I'm such a worry wart. :P
<<; I'm getting the feeling that no one uses their journal here anymore. =( *tear* Maybe I should move to My Space or something. |
